Helping Intangible Heritage Resilience through Storytelling – HIGHRES – è un progetto a livello europeo che mira a dotare le comunità rurali delle competenze necessarie per comprendere, conservare, trasmettere e promuovere il proprio patrimonio culturale immateriale attraverso la narrazione digitale.

Il patrimonio culturale va oltre i monumenti e le collezioni di oggetti: comprende le tradizioni e le espressioni viventi tramandate di generazione in generazione, come le tradizioni orali, le arti dello spettacolo, le pratiche sociali, i rituali e l’artigianato tradizionale.
Il digital storytelling è l’espressione moderna dell’antica arte della narrazione. Basato sull’uso di strumenti digitali, ci permette di creare storie coinvolgenti che trasportano le persone nei luoghi e nei momenti più iconici del nostro patrimonio culturale.
L’applicazione dello storytelling digitale al nostro patrimonio culturale immateriale dà vita alle nostre tradizioni, crea connessioni emotive e le fa apprezzare da tutti, preservando la nostra identità.
Il consorzio coinvolge 6 partner di 5 Paesi diversi, che coprono diverse aree e contesti culturali all’interno dell’UE, in quanto sono rappresentati l’Europa meridionale (Spagna, Portogallo e Italia), l’Europa centrale (Paesi Bassi) e l’Europa orientale (Lettonia).

Vidzeme Tourism Association (VTA) is an NGO with over 20 years of experience in the tourism field. VTA has extensive experience in implementing EU projects, including COSME and DG-ENT programmes, the Interreg Europe programme, the Interreg Estonia-Latvia programme, and various other regional initiatives. Its main focus areas are on active and cultural tourism, and it is an active member of the European Cultural Tourism Network.
The University of Milano-Bicocca (UNIMIB) is a young and dynamic multidisciplinary university founded in 1998 in Milan. UNIMIB’s Department of Sociology and Social Research has been ranked amongst the best in Italy for the quality of its research and teaching in social and political sciences. This department has been working for years on community development and sustainable local projects as tools for the development of marginal rural territories.
Lusófona University (ULUS) is a non-profit higher education institution, the largest private university in Portugal. Its Museology Department holds a UNESCO Chair on “Education, Citizenship and Cultural Diversity”, focusing on Sociomuseology, public education policies, heritage, and global citizenship. This department promotes heritage in a broad sense, with its main areas of specialisation being intangible cultural heritage and rural development.
Storytelling Centre (STC) originates from the International Storytelling Festival Amsterdam, founded in 2008. In recent years, STC has initiated and developed numerous activities in the field of storytelling. It is nationally and internationally recognised as a training centre, festival producer, and promoter of compelling performances by (young) storytelling talents. Additionally, it supports cultural diversity and fosters links between different cultural backgrounds, as well as is a member of the Federation of European Storytelling.
OnProjects (OnP) is a consultancy specialising in the management of European funds, particularly within the major EU programmes such as Erasmus+, Horizon Europe, Creative Europe, and Interreg. Its main expertise includes project management, coordination, communication, dissemination, and monitoring/evaluation. OnP has experts in cultural heritage and experience in developing web-based training platforms and digital communication.
The University of Jaén (UJA), established in 1993, is a university coordinating a Centre of International Excellence in Heritage, with a strategic alliance of 10 Andalusian public universities. This centre has a strong international character, bringing together as strategic partners the main national and international institutions and companies dedicated to improving teaching and research in the field of heritage. UJA’s team has extensive experience in developing digital storytelling, using the latest digital techniques and creative methods.
Vidzeme Tourism Association (VTA) è una ONG con oltre 20 anni di esperienza nel settore del turismo. VTA ha una vasta esperienza nell’implementazione di progetti UE, tra cui i programmi COSME e DG-ENT, il programma Interreg Europe, il programma Interreg Estonia-Lettonia e varie altre iniziative regionali. Le sue aree di interesse principali sono il turismo attivo e culturale ed è un membro attivo della Rete europea del turismo culturale.

L’Università di Lusófona (ULUS) è un istituto di istruzione superiore senza scopo di lucro, la più grande università privata del Portogallo. Il suo Dipartimento di Museologia è titolare di una cattedra UNESCO su “Educazione, cittadinanza e diversità culturale”, incentrata sulla sociomuseologia, sulle politiche di istruzione pubblica, sul patrimonio e sulla cittadinanza globale. Il dipartimento promuove il patrimonio in senso lato e le sue principali aree di specializzazione sono il patrimonio culturale immateriale e lo sviluppo rurale.

Inoltre, sostiene la diversità culturale e favorisce i legami tra diversi contesti culturali, oltre a essere membro della Federation of European Storytelling.

Le sue competenze principali comprendono la gestione dei progetti, il coordinamento, la comunicazione, la divulgazione e il monitoraggio/valutazione. OnP dispone di esperti in beni culturali e di esperienza nello sviluppo di piattaforme formative basate sul web e nella comunicazione digitale.
